Prepositions – predlozi, vežbanja

Predlozi (prepositions) at, on, in, for, of imaju različite upotrebe u engleskom jeziku, a često se koriste i u frazama.

1. AT se koristi za tačnu lokaciju, tačno vreme i događaje. Na primer: at home, at the bus stop, at 5 PM, at a party. Fraze sa at uključuju at first (u početku) i at the moment (trenutno).

2. ON označava nešto što je na površini, dane u nedelji i specifične datume, kao u on the table, on Monday, on July 4th, on TV. Česte fraze su on purpose (namerno) i on time (na vreme).

3. IN se koristi za unutrašnjost nečega, vremenske periode i veće lokacije. Primeri su in a room, in the morning, in December, in Paris. Fraze sa in uključuju in the end (na kraju) i in advance (unapred).

4. FOR označava namenu, trajanje i korist, na primer This gift is for you, I’ve been here for two hours, Exercise is good for you. Česte fraze su for sure (sigurno) i for fun (iz zabave).

5. OF se koristi za pripadnost, materijale i količinu, kao u The roof of the house, A ring made of gold, A glass of water. Fraze sa of uključuju of course (naravno) i because of (zbog).
