Reported Speech prenosi nečije reči bez direktnog citata. Posle prošlog reporting glagola često pomeramo vreme unazad.
Izjave i backshift
Uz said/told u prošlosti Present Simple često prelazi u Past Simple.
U ovom tipu zadatka prenosimo raniju izjavu sa was.
Yes/no pitanja
Indirektna da/ne pitanja uvode se sa if ili whether; red reči postaje kao u izjavi.
U indirektnom pitanju: if + subject + verb.
Wh- pitanja
Zadržavamo upitnu reč, ali koristimo red reči izjave.
Posle where ide I lived, ne did I live.
