Past Continuous
Past Continuous opisuje radnju koja je trajala u određenom trenutku u prošlosti ili pozadinsku radnju pre prekida.
Was/were + -ing
I/he/she/it uz was; you/we/they uz were, zatim glagol na -ing.
Uz she ide was.
Prekid duže radnje
Past Continuous obično opisuje radnju u toku, a Past Simple kratku radnju koja je prekida.
U ovom kontekstu sleeping je pozadinska radnja.
While i istovremene radnje
While često povezuje dve radnje u toku u isto vreme u prošlosti.
Potrebni su was/were i -ing oblici.
