Gerunds & infinitives
Posle nekih glagola sledi -ing, posle drugih to + infinitiv, a posle predloga obično gerund.
Glagol + -ing
Enjoy, avoid, finish, mind i keep često se koriste sa -ing oblikom.
Uz enjoy uobičajeno ide -ing.
Glagol + to-infinitive
Decide, hope, plan, want, promise često prate to + osnovni oblik.
Uz decide ide to-infinitive.
Posle predloga -ing
Iza predloga poput in, of, without i about glagol ide u -ing obliku.
Posle without koristimo -ing.
