Past Perfect & narrative tenses
Narativna vremena pokazuju redosled događaja: šta se dešavalo, šta se desilo i šta je već bilo završeno.
Past Perfect
Had + past participle označava događaj koji se desio pre drugog prošlog trenutka.
Pre ranijeg događaja u prošloj naraciji koristimo had left.
Past Continuous za pozadinu
Was/were + -ing opisuje radnju u toku ili pozadinu kada se desi kraći događaj.
Was cooking daje pozadinsku radnju.
Past Simple za niz događaja
Past Simple povezuje završene događaje u redosledu kojim su se desili.
Za jednostavan niz događaja obično je dovoljan Past Simple.
